Log Cabin 1 Ibex Valley

Log cabin to relax

Yukon Log Cabin bed

Location: Take a short drive (50 km) out of Whitehorse, west on the Alaska Highway towards Haines Junction. There, in the Takhini Valley, is the Base of Yukon Wild. On our widespread property this cabin is in a private spot, surrounded by open spruce and poplar stands. From the window you look at Pyramid Mountain, the highest Peak of the Ibex Ridge.
Set Up:

Built with round logs, scribe fit, with lots of attention to detail, this cabin makes you feel like set back into the Gold rush days. Resembling the structures of trappers, prospectors and wood cutters it is that simplicity and coziness what makes this cabin so special.  With a classic Yukon Stove even in the coldest temperatures you stay warm and comfortable.
Table, Chairs, a bench and double bed provide room for 2 people. The kitchen area has a spacious counter with a 2 burner propane stove, water jugs and all other cooking and eating necessities.
Of course, there is the typical outhouse , 12 volt lights, a fire pit and benches for your campfire/ BBQ experience

An added bonus next to the cabin is your private  Yukon sauna with an outdoor shower setup.

Activities in the area:
  • Hiking trails for excursions from 1 hour up to several days
  • Great starting point for Mountain biking on bush roads and trails
  • Canoeing on the near by Takhini River for a daytrip or overnight
  • Visit the Takhini Hotsprings
  • Just a short drive to Whitehorse for entertainment or shopping
  • Go on a road trip to Haines Junction ( 1 hr. drive) for the day and get an idea of Kluane National Park
